The idea of Komplete Kontrol is brilliant, I was easily on board when I saw NI go for this.As a Kore customer,the original idea was an amazing early on young NI with brilliant capacity for what modern music production should feel like Well then, lets just hope Multi-timbral support comes soon!ĪS well as 3rd party support for plugins will ? Komplete Kontrol right? and the way we arrange our plugins etc.

Maschine is not a real replacement currently imo, if you choose to want an ALL in one solution, (producers really vary) nothing is except for a DAW for my workflow. I agree with the OP, Komplete Kontrol in it's current state is nothing more then limited at best when it comes to multi-timbral work! This is coming from the luxury of years of layering within Kontakt,and an avid NI Kore customer, who YES does own Maschine, but can't stand the idea of not working in a real DAW to arrange and Layer accordingly. I hope someone can understand this ramble. I'd go back to just using kontakt and stacking each instrument on it's own midi channel but the functions when using the kontrol s-25 are far 2 good to miss. I like to sequence midi though so I can edit each note. Maybe I'm looking at it all the wrong way, the only other person I've seen work like this is Marco Polo but he doesn't even use midi, instead he simply samples from kontakt into the mpc. In my opinion it would of been cool if komplete kontrol had some kind of option where you had all your instruments stacked like in kontakt and each new instrument loaded was defaulted to a new midi channel, 1 to 64 or something. As you can imagine this is heaven! 10 or so instruments all on their own midi channel, BUT then when you want to load something like monark it's a nightmare because unless I'm missing something you can't simply change the midi track from the gui, It's absolutely perfect when using Kontakt instruments through reaper because you can have more than 1 instance (instrument) loaded and set the midi channel in the kontakt instrument to correspond with the midi channel on the mpc. Does anybody else sequence komplete with an mpc? If so have you found the limitations of using midi?

Some might say get with the times and get a maschine but I'm pretty much useless on anything but the mpc 1000 with jjos128xl.
